Feedback on Propet Kenton Black in size 10.5 3E. Size was true to length but narrow for a 3E, order up to a 5E if you actually have Wide feet. Leather upper was shiny black, not in a good way looks more synthetic than expected. Biggest issue is that this style is NOT a true lace-up, but is actually a Zip-up boot with lace adjustments, which is not mentioned anywhere in the text description and is not visible in any of the photos for the black model. However, you can just barely see the zipper on the brown model if you look close enough. Regardless, the zipper head when closed sits exactly on protruding part of my inside ankle bone creating an instant OUCH! so returning for wider size was out of the question for me.

The ones I have now are a replacement pair; the width was too much on the first pair I ordered. I appreciate the feedback requested from Zappos on THAT pair, because I probably would have kept them even though they were really too wide. I feel the arch support on these is inadequate, because the zipper is on the same side as the arch. I’m wearing insole support, so everything feels “right as rain.”

I liked the look of these but returned them based on two main principles. 1. They STINK. You know how leather smells? They don’t smell like that. They smell a bit like cheap vinyl, and it is strong. 2. They felt comfortable at first, but just walking around in a small circle for a little bit, I didn’t think I’d be comfortable in these for a long period of tie.

I liked the shoes but had to return them after a few months when the zipper broke. I have another pair in brown that are several months older and didn’t have this problem. I am hoping this is a one off and the next pair will be fine.

Great looking boot with the convenience of the zipper that is hardly noticeable. You can lace them fairly tight once and never touch them again because the zipper really opens up the whole side, so it is super easy to put your foot in.

These shoes look nice, but they are short on function. They lack arch support, and cushion. The treads are shallow, offering little grip. Generally, they feel flimsy: if I press on the sole, it flexes easily around my finger.
Buying these, I had hoped that I had finally found stylish daily drivers with which to shod my freakish slab-like rectangle feet. But no, these aren’t good for much more than a walk around the block.

Imagine a Converse Chuck Taylor sole with a nice leather upper, a clever zipper, and a high quality memory-foam-style insole. Light, comfortable, convenient! Very happy with them.
A few extra details:
1) The E/W variant was plenty wide enough for me. I often have issues with narrow shoes, so I was glad these came through.
2) The insole is rather good. I switched it out for an orthotic with more arch support. This isn’t a complaint of the insole, more to say you might want additional arch support as well and that it’s easy to switch out the insole if needed.
3) Some of the leather (e.g. the back heel, a small strip near the toe) is a rougher suede style rather than a smooth style. Not a problem per se, simply something to be aware of.

Perfect for a tall guy with big, wide feet. They fit him perfectly, right out of the box. He’s been wearing them daily, on his feet at work, zero complaints. And they look good too! He did pull out the insoles and put in his own customs for a foot issue, and it fits and works. Prophet is the new go to!

Arrived quickly, He has always work a wide- bit these were tight so had to buy an extra wide in another shoe. He can wear them with thin socks though. I love the zip idea to help him get the shoe on (my elderly father)

Comfortable shoe, the fit was great, true to size and width but I did not realized it had a zipper on the side and I am not a fan of zipper styled shoes.

My only concern when purchasing was how tight they felt. I know new shoes can and usually do feel snug before broken in, but I think it was more so with this pair solely because of the zipper. I’ve never worn shoes like this, but once they were broken in, I loved them!

I just got these and only walked around the house in them, but so far I really like them. They are stylish (well, my style), which isn’t something you often get when you have extra wide feet. I am looking forward to wearing them out. They’re really nice.
