They fit great but leather is very rigid, I ordered black and they look ugly to me. Wish I had ordered a different color. My orthotics fit great in them.

I have tried on so many pairs of this style hiking boot, and this was the gem of the pick! I love them! I bought an 8 wide which is my normal size. It is the most comfortable boot. I wore them the first day indoors to make sure they were going to work for me. No problem indoors or out. My feet stay warm in the cold temps as well.
Chris –
I really liked the style, and shoe box was wide and comfy with excellent arch support, however they cut into the outside of my ankle terribly, so unfortunately I had to return. Of course, Zappos made the process quick and easy.

my son has the mens version he loves his as well

They are probably a tiny bit too long but overall they look and feel great. I just got back from hiking in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina for four days and the boots (and my feet) held up very well. They are also stylish enough to come down off the mountain and go into town without feeling underdressed.

Zappos is asking me how awesome I feel when I wear these and honestly, the answer is: pretty great.

I had to return the boots — too uncomfortable to wear.

This boot felt good length wise and comfort, however, the width needed to be wider for my EE sized feet to not rub at the bunion.
They should offer a 3E or 4E.

Really short, my toes pressed against the end when wearing them, let alone walking. I checked sizing, so I would say they run a bit small. Fairly stiff and not particularly breathable.

So I have one foot with a bunion and the other had corrective surgery but I still have swelling and also developed a Morton’s Neuroma which is painful. It is darn near impossible to find hiking boots that are extra wide! But these are a great fit and I’ve also been wearing them in the garden, so no pic included. The ankle padding is a bit stiff at first but loosens up. Extra bonus they are waterproof! I’m very hard on shoes, but I’ll buy them again!

to narrow

In short, great extra width and length is “true to size.” Tried out both the size 8D and 8.5D in the color “wheat,” went with 8.5D to account for swelling and thicker hiking socks. My right foot is exactly the length of a true size 8 shoe (9 1/2 inches) and my left foot is very wide, about 4 1/4 inches. The width of the 8.5D shoe is very wide, enough to accommodate my left foot easily with a little sliding while wearing a thin Smartwool sock (and after changing to a thick sock the sliding was remedied). In the size 8D my toes on my right foot felt like they were just touching the front of the shoe so with any downhill hiking I’d expect my toes to get jammed. The width of the 8D was also a little snug but not uncomfortable while wearing a thin Smartwool sock. Feels quite lightweight, hoping it will have enough cushioning during rocky hikes and can handle the terrain. Can’t quite speak to the true overall quality until I’ve taken these out on a hike. The lacing system doesn’t allow for much tightening over the top of the foot. For me, that’s not a problem since my feet are quite wide and I don’t need to cinch the laces any tighter but thought it worth a mention for someone with a lower volume foot or narrower foot hoping to tighten these shoes for a better fit.

I’ve never been disappointed when I purchase a Propet brand shoe. Well made, attractive and always very comfortable for walking.

I bought the black version. It’s not fancy looking but it’s very comfortable. They are a 1/2 size too small for me and the width felt slightly narrow. I just ordered a larger size in the wheat color. I’ll update once I receive them.
Hiker –
The shoes felt very stiff. Also, the width was not enough.

These are basic good hiking shoes that work great when you have your own inserts. However the bottoms do wear faster than others. I can see obvious wear on the treads and I know that the shoes will wear smooth on the bottom before I wear any holes in the sides.

Good boot for traction and warmth . Comfort not so much. The tongue is stiff.

I normally wear a size 6 EE, but sized up to the 6 1/2. This was perfect for me as I don’t feel any pinching and there’s enough room for heavy socks. The shoe is really cute and the brown is a warm soft color. I didn’t think, with the size 6, that there would be room for heavy socks, so that’s the reason I sized up.

True to size and comfy.

Just not comfortable enough

These run big. I wear a 10, but a 9.5 fit loosely and could work, but I’m ordering a 9 now to see if that fits better. They’re super comfortable and warm however, I’m not sure I will keep these. There is a defect in the right shoe just above the toes. The fabric inside of the shoe is loose and forms a thick fold about 2 inches long along the toe part. So with each step this fabric was chafing the tops of my toes through my socks. It doesn’t hurt but it’s like a slight pinch and prick and is really annoying… The left shoe has loose fabric inside where the toe is as well but it’s not as loose. Maybe the fabric is not tethered to the shoe well and loosens as you walk? That’s what it seems like. So anyway, I don’t think I could take that so hopefully the size 9 doesn’t have that same defect, I’ll see. The second thing about these boots is that they look orthopedic. It’s fine if you are an older woman, but if you are younger it might make you feel uncomfortable which is how I feel wearing these, hehe. But it’s so hard to find youthful looking boots that are both warm and comfortable and have proper foot support.

Packaged very well, arrived on time, and, just what I ordered.

I personally have foot issues and neither one of these boots helped, I will be going back to ORTHO FEET SHOES!
