Comfortable as expected. 5E wide is just fine for me, tried with thick wool socks! Preparing for winter.
Normally I buy 3E dress shoes. Most shoe makers do not make these wide!
Fit and finish feels excellent. Sole has excellent traction for hiking.
Shoe laces are little short, good pair of laces will cost you around $10, added cost! Propet should have used either 66 or 72 inches long laces.

Usually do not write reviews but I have been looking for shoes like this for a lifetime. I wear 15 5 e have flat feet on my feet 10 hrs a day concrete floors feet used to feel like they were beat with a bat at the end of the day. I have had these shoes a little over 4 months break in time was zero after about a week and a half no pain in feet other than soreness from being on them all day. which goes away after a ten minute rest first set I ordred was 14 5e the width was good length a little to tight with socks called ZAPPOS they had the 15 5e the next day no charge amazing!! I am 6’1” not gonna tell my weight but big and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned even surpassing my first pair of boots in the army. Hope this helps!

Sending back! I ordered Propet 5E and they feel like a very narrow 4E. I tried on with normal athletic socks and then tried with thin socks. Still to tight to try to “break in” without a lot of foot pain. Will change to another brand.

The boots are very nice, however, they run very narrow. I ordered a 3E since my son has a wide foot, and they do not fit. My husband can wear them because he has a normal wide foot. Order a size up in width.

I’m so happy that I purchased these boots. They are very comfortable and have great grip on the snow and ice. I usually order 3E or 4E but went with 5E for these as I anticipated wearing thicker socks. I’m glad I did as the fit is perfect. I highly recommend these boots.

Purchased for my 15-year-old son. Shoes and boots seem to be getting narrower these days, but we finally found these. The size 14, 5E fits nicely, looks nice and the price was good. I can’t speak to the long-term quality as we have had them one week.
Charles –
These are definitely narrower than marked. 5E (XX) fits perfectly in other Proper boots, not these.

These weren’t as supportive as I thought they would be. A little to flexible in arch area for my liking.

I bought these for my fiance and he likes them a lot. We both think they’re very sharp-looking boots and he says they’re very comfortable. It’s hard to find wide shoes in his size so we were happy that these are comfortable, nice looking, and they actually fit!

I bought this boot for my picky husband. He needed a boot with excellent tread that would help him to be more stable in the parking lot and stairway at his work which was icy. He loves these boots for their comfort, traction and no break in time needed. My husband’s shoes never last very long, maybe 6 months at the most. He has a foot injury which eventually always breaks down the outer side on one boot. It has been over a year since I ordered his first pair of Ridge Walkers and he has been hinting that he needs another pair. My husband is constantly on his feet walking and carrying items all day long. He says the Propet Ridge Walker is the best shoe/boot he has ever had. He is very excited because I have just ordered him another pair which should be arriving today!

I usually wear a wide shoe, but reviews indicated this shoe might run small in sizing, so I bought an EEE rather than a wide or EE. The EEE is not true to size and the width is at best normall. The shoes are incredibly stiff and uncomfartable. I am returning and will find a different shoe.

Based on reviews, I decided to order a size larger than my husband’s usual shoe size. Also ordered 5E, based on reviews. GREAT fit. He says they’re most comfortable he’s had in a LONG time. I’m almost tempted to order a second pair identical to first, while I can still get them. Don’t know how many hiking boots he’s tried in recent years. VERY hard to find them wide enough. He would normally wear a 3W or EW, depending on brand, but lately even those aren’t wide enough. These are perfect. Look to be well made. Amazing value for the price!

A little narrow will try in a wider width.

I ordered size 11 4E. The size and width felt just about right to me. This is an attractive boot and has very good quality construction. They’re great for snow. They’re not lined, but keep your feet warm and dry. So why a 2 star rating? The boots are stiff and can get quite uncomfortable after wearing them a while. I thought this would decrease as I broke them in, but it didn’t. The insoles are fairly hard and contribute to the discomfort.

My first time owning a pair of Propet shoes. Amazing comfort. I’m in my mid 60’s and have had feet and leg vascular swelling for years. Wore these shoes right out of the box in total comfort for almost 6 straight hours and walked further and was more active , on my feet, than I have been in years.
How impressed am I with Propet shoes? I have two more pair from Zappos on delivery route to me now. From the bottom of my feet…Thank you!

My husband and I both have a pair of theses boots. My foot is very wide and so I can only get shoes in men’s widths. I love these boots. They don’t look like men’s boots when on my feet. They are so comfortable. My husband is picky about shoes and he also loves them .The width is perfect. Thank you.

Highly recommend these boots! We bought these for my husband for a trip to Chicago. We went the week before the polar vortex, which was still cold & snowing. Since it was our 1st time seeing snow, he wanted to make sure he had shoes/boots that would keep his feet warm & most importantly, be comfortable. He loved these boots from the moment he put them on. We were out in the snow & were on the go non-stop while in Chicago & these boots did not let him down. His only complaint is that he has no where to wear them at hone in Florida! Funny enough, our daughter just chose to go to college in IL, in the Fall, so now he can wear them again. These should last him quite awhile now! I’ve included a photo of him wearing the boots in the snow! His feet stayed warm & dry!

I bought these last fall so they would be broken in for a Grand Canyon river/hiking trip this spring. Turns out they were great over the winter with little need for breaking in and they stood up well to frequently being in snowshoes. They were also super for hiking in the Grand Canyon in April, providing protection from the sharp rocks and sure, grippy footing in places where it was very much needed. I am ordering a pair of the low model today! BTW, I wear size 13, either 4E or 5E. The XXW fit just fine.
Lori –
I ordered these for my son, who has a very, very, very wide foot. Although we ordered the extra-wide, as soon as he put them on he said that they felt too narrow. (And I didn’t even tell him that other reviewers complained of this.) They are a nice looking shoe, but if you have a very wide foot, them do not order these shoes.

If I could return these now, I would. Very little cushioning. I have replaced the insoles and they are still painful to wear. If you have any kind of foot problems, don’t buy these.
Rich –
I have an extremely wide foot due to a bunion., clown foot wide, so I’m hoping these 5E work out.
So far I’m very pleased.
I have spent a ton of money trying different boots and these are working out so far.

Fit and size were good. Easy to order and fast delivery. Second pair I have ordered.
Bruce –
The fit is just right they are lighter than I thought they would be which I like they seem to be well made they are what I was hoping for if not better
Kyle –
Returned due to “too pointy a toe”. I’m a wide size (at least 4E but 6E is luxury). These were supposed to be 5E, maybe they are, but I feel like they’re pointy witch boots that don’t feel too natural.
Rade –
INCREDIBLY comfortable hiking boots, but offered little arch support. Not a problem; I have plenty of Doctor provided inserts and have a pair that worked great. These boots are all-day comfortable! Just in time to tackle our first winter storm!
