The problem was the ad copy does not make clear that the “protective composite safety toe” is really a hard (felt like plastic) shield that cannot break in. It extends far enough back so having wide toes like I do this was painful to wear (and I ordered them in the extra wide size). So I had to return them. For those who fit into and find the toe box comfortable they may be fine and should offer good toe protection.

hi Zappos, the work boots I purchased are my 3rd pair in 8 years. The boots are of Good quality, the main issue on these boots is TRACTION. They are very slick on even wet surfaces, and horrible on snow or ice, don’t know how Propet missed this. the only reason I continue to purchase them is that it is THE ONLY SIZE of work Boot, Zappos has, that fit my needs. Can you make contact with “Propet” and inform them that they need to change their current recipe on the soles of these boots, so they have Good traction. If they can implement that, This boot is a 10+

Slight discomfort in the toebox area due to width; my big toe rubs the side but I feel this may go away once the boots are broken in. I’m actually unsure of the arch support because I replace the inserts with every shoe I own with a gel insert. Standing and walking in the boots is great due to the construction of the sole; there is springy foam or rubber between your foot and the hard rubber that absorbs shock from walking as well as pressure from standing. Overall I think this may turn out to be a great work boot once broken in!

Before these, I had 8.5 and E and my right big toe was smooched up against the side of the shoe and barely any wiggle room so I asked for a half size larger and EEE and these are so much better and not loose at all

Ordered a 10.5 felt a half size to big and wide. Maybe a 10 would have been better but overall a comfortable boot.

SHOES ARE COMFORTABLE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE TO WEAR THEM FOR 10 HRS A DAY.

I do not like to order shoes online. I am flat footed and use orthopedic inserts. Customer service recommended the size and styles. The shoes fit great, there was room for the inserts. Will definitely get my next pair of work shoes from Zappos. Keep up the excellent customer service.

Great, comfortable work shoe. I would suggest some inserts that conform to your feet.

When you have wide feet, you have wide toes too. Even though the ball of the foot was comfortable, the toe box is pointy and rubs the inside of the big toe making the wide shoe useless.

My normal shoe size is 4E, when I wear shoes with a toe protector, I need 5E because of how solid they are.

Width felt a little off

These were okay. I wear a 6E thanks to a long friendship with a bunion. They feel okay, but started to chafe the side of my foot after a few days. Not bad, but enough to start to annoy. The soles have no cushions and getting the insoles right was a bit tricky since you have less room to play with with the composite toes. Still looking for a 6E. If there was one in this size, I would gladly buy them.

I ordered these a half size bigger than my ordinary shoe size because of the composite toe. They fit perfect and I was able to break them in within three days. I’m on my feet 10 hrs a day and so far so good.

I would love this boot in a smooth leather and no safety toe and leather eyelets and not all the metal… fit is true to ad. I hate the shoe laces- they are 6 to 8 inches too long and way too slippery. they wont stay tied and the laces constantly drag on the ground.

Looks good, I am ruff on shoes, let you know in a year or 2 if they last.

I like the style they will be great to wear in the snow

Overall a great boot. It does chafe a bit on the front upper area of the foot though. Maybe I need to tie tighter or looser?!? At least that it doesn’t chafe on a regular basis. The materials appear to be made of quality. We’ll see how that goes. There is room enough to put 3 layers of foot sole inserts, though a physical therapist said to not do that as it messes a little with balance. The footbed that it comes with is already comfortable, however, I like walking on a cloud during my 10+ hour shifts on a hard, warehouse floor. Overall happy with the width and the rest of the boot. NOTE: If you are normally a 4E and a high arch, and do 10,000 steps (5 miles) a day, your feet will start to flatten out and become a normal arch height and expand from a 4E to a 5E. Hope that these insights help! 🙂

I have had a pallet jack run into my feet on a few occasions, and it hurt like Hades. But could of been a whole lot worse if I hadn’t had those shoes on.

Great fit just wish the bottom buckles were the same as the top.

Wonderfully comfortable at work. Cushiony; soft; very supportive soles. Extremely nice fit.

Good size and fit. Lace hooks make shoe easy to put on and pull off without excessive unlacing. Overall a good work boot.
