The toe box in this boot is not a 5E width!. I normally can fit into a 4E with some wiggle room. Feels a lot more like a 2E.
Tom –
For my 4E feet, these felt great. Extremely comfortable needing NO break-in time. Not to mention that they are great Las Vegas Golden Knights colors!

Propet has been very inconsistent with sizing in recent years. I have been buying their shoes for over a decade, but in the last couple of years their shoes have gotten narrower. 5E in this boot feels like a 3E, it was very tight on the sides of my feet. I have neuromas in both my feet, so any squeezing is a no go. They look great, too bad they are not 5E as marked.
Randy –
There was no break in time at all. Put them on when i received them, and wore for 4 hours. No hurting feet !
BigD –
I’m consistent sizing and not very wide even as 5e.

I should have read the reviews before I purchased. These are tighter than 5E as advertised. But my main complaint is that they aren’t even a little waterproof. Walked in wet grass for a minuete and my socks were soaked. I’m returning them

Did not fit- too narrow in the width. I have a 5E foot
Whitney –
BE CAREFUL, THE TOE BOX IS MORE LIKE A 2E, NO WAY A 5E!
I should have listened to a previous review, as way to narrow in the toe box area and front.
I love the look and style just too bad PROPET can’t get their sizing correct.
Andrew –
Propet shoes are so right for me I have quite a few different ones so I haven’t worn these but a few times yet. So far though I really like them.
Zappos has some of the best customer service on the planet too, so if anything ever goes wrong with an order they make it right very quickly.

Too short and way too narrow
Andrew –
These are pretty good boots, as all my Propet shoes have been. I have no complaints, I just hope they keep making them and making them good quality

I normally wear a women’s 9. I originally ordered a men’s size 8, which should have fit. But there was no way. Had to return and exchanged for a men’s size 9. These fit great, are comfortable and lightweight, just what I was looking for. But the message is: order at least a full size bigger.

I have a hard foot to fit. Great shoe but just a little small for me. I passed them on to another family member.

Great boot

This was the second pair. First was extra wide, second was listed a wide but felt tight.
Both were in plain brown repack boxes with no tags. I sent them back, seems as though they are selling used shoes. How could both pairs be repacks?

Nice Boots

I love the Propet Traverse. These are my new favs. Will be wearing them more than my others.

Not waterproof as advertised. After 5 days a walk through wet grass wet my socks. Fit is awkward and weird at the ankle part where there is a half inch gap between shoe ankle and my leg. The only thing securing the shoes to my feet are the laces that have to be tied tight to feel snug but the rest of the shoe at the ankle part is loose, wobbly and is a constant pain. Laces are too short to be double tied which is the only way they don’t unravel. Terrible quality all around. Thank you Zappos for your great return service.

I’ve been buying this brand for a while now, this model or other similar ones. The selling point for me is that the extra wide version actually is wide enough for my feet. Extra wide from other, better known brands is often just a bit too tight.
The problem I’ve had with the Propets is durability. I walk every day, anywhere from 4 to 10 miles, generally 5 or 6. The soles on these wear out after a few months. I just tossed out another pair after four months. Both heels were badly worn, and one was almost all the way through to the liner. I probably could have thrown them out after only three months, but I like to get as much of my money’s worth as I can.
I now am wearing my previously unworn spare pair, and hopefully that will give me another four months. But there has to be a brand that will do better than this. For my next shoes, I’m looking at other brands that I’ve seen recommended. I just hope they’ll fit.

Absolutely no way this was a 5E width. Looks like a very nice hiking boot but I couldn’t comfortably get my 3E foot into this supposdely 5E width shoe

I really wanted to love this show after reading some say that it provided adequate space for wider feet. I was unable to get my foot fully into the shoe and returned it immediately. Quality seemed very nice for the price paid, but like in Cinderella, I couldn’t get my feet into the glass slipper!
