Initial impressions (boots received just today): Aggressive looks, but initially comfortable with a cushy insole. Size runs a bit small: I usually wear 11.5 and these are 12, it my feet don’t slop around I them. The width is advertised as 5E, which seems about right. I will add to this after some wear time.

These are ok quality. For what I paid, I’m hoping that they last awhile. I don’t know why Propet is against metal shoelace hooks. Some eyelets are into a sewn in fabric. I don’t know why that’s done… seems like that could be a problem with constant lacing.. i guess we will see.

They fit perfect. I have been looking for a half boot like this for years. They were great!!!

for a boot, the heel counter is very weak and not very supportive. otherwise, seems like nice boots, but just not for me. the heel counter, for example, in the Drew Trevino is much stronger and provides much more support for the ankle, and those aren’t even hiking boots.

Awesome shoe! Love that it’s a higher top for more support for ankles!

Toe box is narrow for 3E

Comfortable but very stiff sole.
I probably would have kept them if I was shopping for some ankle height winter boots.

I wear 9.5 4E shoes. I thought these in 9.5 5E would be good but they were way too narrow, even though the size was spot on. Besides that they looked well made so I was sad to return them due to the width issue.

Although it was advertised as being 5E in width, it felt narrow to me. I usually order 3E. Otherwise, it looked okay in terms of style.

Run small

This shoe was AMAZING minus the fact that right around the ankle it is really uncomfortable. Went for a walk in these shoes and came back w/ blisters around the ankle. There’s something off about the design around the ankle. . .otherwise this would have been an amazing boot 🙂

5W they are NOT, plastic rather than steel lace ups, comes with spare pair of laces. First wear thoughts – left boot bottom not as smooth in comfort. They did Lace up correctly. After 1/2 hour walk on level pavement I could feel the sole texture pattern on my foot bottom -that’s not good. Its a Vibram bottom with too much air space but might aid in walking in mud or snow. Boot is not flimsy and feels solid but no way are they 5W – I think if 2W is your foot size buy the 5W. Over priced , caught sale at $74 and don’t think they are worth that, time will tell. Arrived quickly in plastic bag with company’s shoe box inside. This Brands Cliff walker boot (while also not a true 5W) is a much better boot and is all leather -both made in China. Probable will not purchase again but lets see how they hold up, list price is ridiculously high for this Veymont Propet Boot.

I actually returned them before opening the packet after reading the reviews, I need REAL WIDE Shoes.

Ordered two different Width sizes and both were too tight.
