I am a big man with a wide foot and have had trouble finding a comfortable shoe that fits well and lasts. I just purchased this shoe and it felt great right out the box. Extra wide was perfect fit and gave me plenty of room, toes not bunched and roomy on both sides of the foot. I had been having trouble at end of long day at office with feet and legs being tired. However, with these shoes I have noticed a big difference and have not experienced those problems any longer. I used to wear New Balance shoes because they are available in 4E and will continue to do so with tennis shoes only. However, I will stick with these shoes for long days at the office because they feel great and look dressy. I liked them so much a bought a second pair to keep as a spare in case they ran out and did not have them available when I needed another pair. I only wish they came in white so I could have a pair to knock around in and wear all the time instead of having to go back to the New Balance. So far the sole has lasted and not shown any wear of wearing down on the outside, which usually happens because of my weight. Would recommend these shoes to anyone and already have done so.

Pretty much what everyone else here has said: comfy, roomy, good quality, etc. One small exception: Diabetics with sensitive feet (like mine) may find the texture of the insole a bit much (as I do) and may need to get something with a smoother surface.

My husband needed to replace his aging everyday work shoes, and he was having trouble finding time (and the desire) to go shopping and look for some more. It only took us 2 tries to find his shoes using Zappos.com, which is really remarkable. As with most men, the trick is to find new shoes that are virtually indistinguishable from the old, worn-out, comfortable shoes – only they should look newer. Well, we appear to have managed it, because he’s been wearing his new shoes for weeks with no complaints.

My son (22 years old) has extra, extra wide feet. No other brand fits him and he often feels miserable. This pair though made his feet very happy.

I have worn nothing else for the past four years everyday all day. I work on concrete or metal grating and they held up better than any shoe or boot I have ever owned. Comfortable you ask? Yes and also true to size. The soles wear very well and the shipping from Zappos is very fast.

I absolutely love my new shoes, it is so nice to find shoes in the wide width I need and various styles as well.

After decades of buying Clarks, I was looking for a similar shoe that would provide better insole support. These Propet walkers are comfortable and exactly what I needed. The 1000 mile guarantee sold me. These are very nicely crafted shoes with quality materials.

I’m 80 years old. All my life I have lived with shoes that did not fit my feet, because they are thick, wide, and I have a high arch. I usually bought 8 1/2 D’s because that’s all I could find in shoe stores. My son told me about Zappos. The 7 1/2 EEE’s are a perfect fit, and wow what a difference in continuous comfort! In addition to finally fitting me, these Propet shoes are really nice looking. Not much left at 80 to get excited about, but these shoes rang my bell.

These new Propet Village Walkers seem to have a motivation of their own. A forward lean, if you will. Not only are they very comfortable and soft, but they seem to keep walking on their own. I have to put on the brakes to stop walking, as compared to dead shoes where I have to will them to keep walking. I am on my feet for 8 to 10 hours a day and dead shoes are not an option. These shoes are alive. I have to keep walking now.

I have worn these shoes through about 3 style modifications. They are comfortable, available in my wide width (5E) and last and last (pun intended).

I am at work writing this statement during break time.I have the shoes on now and they still feel great compared to my other shoes when standing and walking on the concrete floors all day! I tried to order the same model in black but they are not available. Maybe I will be contacted when and if they are.

Excellent shoe with fantastic internal foot support! Wide width was just that – Wide Width! Zappos had the best online service and shipping I have ever encountered!

I bought these for my husband. He loves them and wears them everyday. He works in an elementary school so he is on his feet most of the time.

I’ve had trouble this year finding wide widths at local shoe stores in my area, due to the economy. So, I decided to try and order shoes online. The Village Walker got great reviews so I gave them a shot. While they are not very attractive, they are very comfortable and I am very pleased so far. I’ve actually ordered the black pair now that I know they will fit. Dealing with Zappos was excellent. The shoes arrived on time. These shoes also make me almost two inches taller. So, now I’m 6′ 5″.

Propet makes great shoes! I have 6 different styles and all of them are very comfortable. The tennis shoe style walkers are very easy to wear when you’re on your feet or outdoors all day. These Village Walkers are nice enough to wear to the office, yet feel like you’re walking in sneakers. Since discovering Propet shoes, I haven’t bought another brand in the last three years.

Excellent shoes. Despite the fact that I have a number of foot problems, these shoes have proven very comfortable and supportive. I’m delighted to have and wear them. Good looking, too!

We have purchased several pair of these shoes the past several years. They are the only shoes that my husband thinks are comfortable for him to wear. He wears them to church when they are new…and them moves them to casual wear and walking on an indoor track. Just purchased 2 pair recently. We have always been very happy with the quick shipping! Nothing negative to say about them!

Ugly but comfortable! Otherwise, as advertised in every respect.

I purchased this shoe for my fiance & he thought the shoe didn’t look so hot. After wearing the shoe for the 1st time at work he said it was the most comfortable shoe he had ever worn; he stands & walks all day at work.

Without a doubt, the ugliest things I have put on my feet. But goodness gracious, I feel like I am walking on clouds when I put these on. I bought a pair of well made dress shoes to wear to work and I made the mistake of telling the assistant that I stand a lot at work. In reality I walk way more than I stand and those shoes are wearing out faster than expected. With the Propet Walker my neither my feet or knees hurt nearly as much after walking the all the miles I do at work. I actually ordered them an entire size smaller than usual (a 14 instead of the 15 I buy everywhere else) and they fit amazingly.

Normally I don’t trust purchasing items from a company on-line. Zappos is an exception. They can be trusted to deliver the exact item you purchase and on-time. This is truly a “no hassle” company with a wide array of hard to find items and sizes. Superior customer satisfaction! I highly recommend Zappos.

The comfort and cushioning are excellent. The fit is accurate enough. In warm weather however, one’s feet get clammy, something I did not find in traditional stiff leather shoes.

Morton’s Toe sufferers: I can walk again! This problem is little addressed by shoe and insert manufacturers. Everybody seems keen on extra padding for the heel and ignore the ball, which is the pressure point for we with Morton’s Toe (AKA Roman Toe). I’ve pretty much given up on finding an insert with extra ball padding and, with winter approaching, was getting frantic; Asics sneakers are great but are not suited for slogging through Massachusetts snow and slush! So my plan was to buy and return shoe after shoe in hopes of finding one with cushioning where it’s needed. Imagine my delight after putting these on and walking around on our hard kitchen floor, able to step on the ball of my foot as I did before Morton’s Toe reared it’s ugly head! I started with the brown shoe and just ordered the black.

I have diabetes and wide feet with high arches. These shoes are very comfortable to wear, plenty of room and deep toe box that fit my orthotics. They feel a lot like a sneaker. Not the best looking and a kittle bit bulky though.

Overall, they were pretty comfortable. Soft leather. Wide toe box. Little arch support and no roll bar. Easy to twist an ankle given their height. The worst problem with these shoes it that they have a tendency to disintegrate- literally. I bought numerous pairs because I liked them. One day I went to put on my shoes and noticed that the sole had completely crumbled. How was this possible? They seemed totally fine the day before. I thought insects must have gotten to them but why not the other shoes. The whole thing blew my mind and left me scratching my head. I did not notify Propet because I thought there must have been something in my environment that caused it. Fast forward a few years. I still had a brand new pair in a box. After rolling my ankle in the last pair, I decided to sell them on Ebay. I took pictures, bagged them, and triple boxed them. When they were received by the buyer, he contacted me and said I scammed him because he got a pile black dust and smears. The entire bottoms of the shoes were gone. At first I thought I was the one being scammed and then I remembered that this happened to me once before. I did a little research and this is actually a phenomena caused by a process called hydrolysis. The polyurethane utilized by the Propet company in their shoes is susceptible to this especially in humid climates. I have owned hundreds of pairs of shoes in my lifetime and this has never happened with another brand that I have owned nor have I ever heard it happening to anyone I know and everyone I tell the story to has a hard time believing it. I contacted Propet to tell them this story but got no response so I want to tell people so that they do not have to have the same experience. Below are some photos before I sent the shoes and when the gentleman received them.
